ADVERTISEMENT FOR GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Application in prescribed form for 3 1/2 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery for the year 2009-10 are hereby invited and will be received by the office of the undersigned till 3.00 PM on 3rd July 2009.

1. Male and Female unmarried candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent resident of the State and passed the 10+2 level examination with 45 % aggregate marks from recognized University Board or Authority are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to Science Candidates.
2. Age: - Eligible application are those who are not below 17 years or above 22 years as On 31st August 2009.
3. Candidates are required to appear before Screening Committee in Civil; Hospital, Shillong and Civil Hospital, Tura for verification of Original copies of 10+2 Mark Sheet, Certificate, ST/SC Character Certificate from the Institution last attended and SSLC mark Sheet and Admit Card. The Applicant will also be medical Examined at the same time and place for determination of the Medical fitness. Applicants who are medically unfit during Medical examination will be dropped from the list of Candidature with no further consideration.
4. To minimize the delay and hardship to the Candidates, screening will be done in phases. In the 1st phase the number of Candidates (will be arrange in order of merit) will approximately be two/ three times the number of seats available category-wise. The names of such candidates will be placed in the notice board of the Directorate of Health Services (MI) Shillong and Civil Hospital, Shillong/Tura well in advance of the screening date indicated.
5. NO INDIVIDUAL NOTICE WILL BE SERVED to any individual applicants for appearing before the Screening Committee. All applicants are requested to note the date and time fixed and to report to Civil Hospital, Shillong / Tura accordingly. Any candidate who fails to appear before the Screening committee will automatically lose his/her right for further consideration of candidature and the Name of such Candidate will be dropped from the list of Candidates.
6. The applicants must possess the following minimum requirement.

1. Passed H.S.S.L.C (10+2) or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks of aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology for general category and 10% less (i.e. 40%) in respect of SC, ST and other special category student as specified by the Government.

The last date of receiving application in person to the Directorate of A.H. & Veterinary, Shillong is on 26th June 2009 upto 4.00 P.M. Date of Entrance Test is fixed on 4th July 2009 from 11.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M.

All Candidates are to produce the original certificates and collect the Admit Card for the Entrance Test from the Directorate of A.H & Veterinary Shillong on 29th & 30th June 2009 from 11.00 A.M. onwards.

If marks obtained in PCB are identical the merit will be determined by considering the marks obtained in English.

AGE LIMIT:

Candidates should not be less than 17 years and not more than 21 years of age as on 1.6.2009. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in case of candidates belonging to Schedules Tribe and Schedules Caste.

RESERVATION:

From the numbers of seats allotted by the NEC to the state of Meghalaya, the reservation of seats shall be based on the existing policy of the Government of Meghalaya.

I.P.O. issued before 1st June 2009 will not be accepted.

AGRICULTURE ADMISSION NOTICE

Applications in Standard Form are invited from applicants who are permanent residents of Meghalaya for consideration of nomination for B.Sc (Agri) and B.Sc (Hort) Courses during the Session 2009- 2010 against the State Quota Seats. Applications will be received by the Undersigned on or before the 17th June, 2009 at Room No. 108, Shillong/ District Agril Officer, Tura.

1. Tribal Candidates should furnish attested copy of Scheduled Tribe Certificate and Non-Tribal candidates should furnish attested copy of Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) issued by Competent Authority.
2. Age Limit : Candidates.should not be less than 17 years or more than 21 years of age as on 1st July, 2009 to support by Admit Card, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC/ OBC.
3. Educational Qualification : Applicants must have passed 10+2 Level Examination in Science or equivalent examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects from recognised Universities/ Boards. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate excluding additional papers and relaxable upto 5% in case of ST/SC.
4. Selection : Selection of Candidates will be strictly on the basis of their merit and it will be determined purely on the marks obtained in Science Stream, However grace marks will not be considered. If the aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology by two candidates/ or more is identical the merit will determined by considering the marks obtained in English. Further, marks obtained in MIL or Alt. English will be taken into account. The Reservation No. of seats shall be based on the existing policy of the Govt. Resolution No. PER/222/71/132, dated 12.01.1972. Preference will be given to candidates who indicate first preference for undergoing B.Sc (Agri) and B.Sc (Hort) Courses by submission of willingness undertaking and unwilling undertaking for candidates who refuse to undergo B.Sc (Agri) and B.Sc (Hort) Courses.
5. All applicants fulfilling criteria in SI.1 to 3 above should appear for an Interview at Directorate of Agriculture Shillong/ District Agril. Officer, Tura on the 23rd June, 2009 with all original Certificates/ testimonials for necessary verification. Those who fail to appear in person for the above Interview on the specified date and time will not be considered for selection under any circumstances.
6. The Provisional List of candidates in order of merit will be displayed in the Notice Board of the Directorate of Agriculture, Shillong/ District Agril. Officer, Tura on the 25th June, 2009.
7. Allotment of seats will be made from the list prepared and on the basis of availability of seats in different Colleges/ Universities. Mere appearance of name in the list does not confirm/ guarantee allotment of seats/ nominations of seats and final admission to any institutions*: Admission is also subject to the norms fixed by respective Universities/ Colleges.
8. Candidates once joined in any Courses under State Quota for Medical/ BDS/ Engineering/ B.Pharm/ B.V. Sc & AH etc will not be considered for B.Sc (Agri) Courses. The Candidates once joined the B.Sc (Agri)/ B.Sc (Hort) Courses and then leave the Agril. College University for other Courses should refund the entire amount executed in the Surety Bond.
9. Selected candidates should note that on completion of the course they should serve the Department for a minimum period of 5(five) years in case their services required by the Government failing which they should forfeit the Surety Bond to be executed by them. They should also note that on completion of the course the Government does not guarantee or offer any appointment under the Department.

1. Grant-in-aid to Non-Governmental Organisations dealing with Women Welfare, Child Welfare, Handicapped, Aged and any other Welfare Services including Anti-drug programme from recognised and viable Organisations Institutions Association of 5 years standing and engaged in more than two or three Welfare Programme continuously in Meghalaya for consideration of grant-in-aid.

2. Financial assistance for disabled persons who requires medical treatment who are living below poverty line and having no means of subsistance. The recommendation for necessary treatment should be obtain from specialist concerned.

3. Medical Treatment for the Aged.

4. Setting up employment cum income generating unit for women (NORAD)

Disability Certificate from SRC/ DRC concern may be submitted alongwith the application failing which the application will be rejected

5. Scholarship for Physically Handicapped students residing permanently in Meghalaya and studying in recognised school/institutions within the State.

6. Disabled students who are permanent residents of Meghalaya and whose parents are below poverty line group for giving financial assistance for the following:.

i) Book grant upto graduate level

ii) Uniform grant upto Class-x

iii) Conveyance allowance to students

iv) Un-employment allowance for SSLC or other Examination and above

7. State Award to Meritorious Handicapped student. Disability Certificate from DRC Shillong/ Tura may also be enclosed along with the application.

Application forms and other details are available from the office of the District Social Welfare Officer of the District concerned. Completed applications forms are to be submitted on or before 25th May, 2009 in the respective office of the District Social Welfare Officer.

Application received after the stipulated date will be summarily rejected.

• Stipend of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only, Per Month will be given to the Selected Trainees during the Course of Training
• Selected Candidates will not be given any Hostel Accommodation. They should abide by the Rules and Regulations and Other Terms and Conditions etc. of the Training Course.

Application in plain paper are hereby invited from desi­rous local male unemployed youths for under going training in Government S. W. Mill Cum Mechanised Carpentry Workshop Training Section, Umsning in Furniture Making Under Industries Department for 2 years Course Commencing from 1st April 2009.

Selected candidates will be awarded a Stipend of Rs.350/ p.m. (Fixed) Rupees three hundred fifty) only. Subject to good cond­uct and regular attendance with satisfactory progress and trainees shall have to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to the effect that he will complete the full course of training and .in case he fails to complete the prescribed course, the entire amount drawn by him as stipend is liable to be refunded in one installment.

Each trainees should deposit a sum of Rs 25/- (Rupees twenty five) only as caution money for handling of tools equipment etc at the time of admission, which will be returned after completion of course.

No T.A/D.A will be defrayed by the Government for appearing interview.

No Hostel accommodation will be provided to the Trainees.

Application in plain papers for 18th months course for Female Health Workers are hereby invited and will be received by the office of the undersigned upto 3.00 PM 3rd March, 2009.

Only Female Unmarried Candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent resident of the State and who have Passed SSLC level examination from the recognized Board with 45% Aggregate Marks SSLC age eligible to apply.

1. Applicant should not be less than 17 years or above 35 years as on 1st January 2009.
2. First 100 candidates from the Garo List first 100 from the Khasi & Jaintia List and first 50 candidate from others as per Merit List will be called for Screening Committee in Ganesh Das Hospital in respect of Khasi & Jaintia and for the applicant belonging to Garo Hills Screening will be held in Tura Civil Hospital, West Garo Hills for verification of Original Copies of Certificate and Medical Fitness Examination on the 18th & 19lh March 2009 at 10:00 AM

8. Any selected applicants who fails to report according to the fixed date will automatically lose her right to nomination and the next eligible candidates from the waiting list be nominated.
9. Further note that Govt. will have no obligation to employ the passed out trainees. They are free to volunteer to undergo training for self-employment in Non- Govt. Institution. However, whenever posts are available their employment will considered following usual procedure.
