DR. AMBEDKAR FOUNDATION SCHEMES FOR SCS AND STS

Shillong, September 3, 2012: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment under the aegis “Dr. Ambedkar Foundation” is implementing the Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme for SCs & STs, National Relief to SC Victims of Atrocities, scheme for celebration of Birth Anniversary of Great Saints, Foundation National Essay Competition Scheme, National Merit Awards for meritorious students of Secondary School examination belonging to SC and STs, National Merit Awards for meritorious students of Senior Secondary School examination belonging to SCs.

FINAL LIST OF POLLING STATIONS

Shillong, September 3, 2012: The District Election Officer, West Khasi Hills District has informed that in connection with the General Election to the Legislative Assembly, 2013, the final list of Polling Stations with respect to 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituency within the 1-Shillong Parliamentary Constituency has been published in accordance with section 25 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

The name of the Polling Station and building in which the polling station is located can be inspected at the office of the District Election Officer, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin.

NOTICE

Shillong, September 3, 2012: The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed that on 27.8.2012 one unknown male person between 30-35 years, swarthy, medium built and wearing a black T-shirt and white and black stripe half pant was found lying in unconscious condition in a drain beside MeECL office, Polo, Shillong. The person was shift to Civil Hospital Shillong for medical treatment but expired on the same day. Inquest of the dead body has been done and after observing all the legal formalities the dead body was forward to SDM & HO for holding PM examination and thereafter kept in the Civil Hospital Morgue room for identification.
