PEOPLE OF JAINTIA HONOURS SCC ON OCTOBER 14

Shillong the 15th October, 2010: A huge crowd turned out at Kiang Nongbah stadium, Ladthalaboh, Jowai in the evening of October 14 to honour the Shillong Chamber Choir (SCC) for their Overwhelming victory in the recently concluded ‘India’s Got Talent-Khoj 2 Competition and eagerly waiting to listen to their sensational choral music that has brought laurel to the State. The SCC before performing in the stadium moved in a motorcade to the different localities of Jowai town to thanks to the people of Jaintia Hills for their immense support. The felicitation was organised by the District administration, Jaintia Hills in collaboration with the ‘Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong Jowai’, Officer’s club and supporters of SCC. At the start of the formal reception, Shri T. Dkhar, Deputy Commissioner, Jaintia Hills delivered a short welcome addressed followed by presentation of gift to the 13-member of Shillong Chamber Choir and a welcome song presented by the youth of Jowai. The SCC presented almost all the songs performed by them during the competition such as Yeh Dosti, Tu Hai Aasma Me, Ka Ri Jong Nga, Nga ieit ia pha and others.
