MEGHALAYA DAY AWARD 2011

Shillong, August 18, 2010: To commemorate Meghalaya Day 2011 on 21st January, 2011, the Government of Meghalaya will present the Meghalaya Day Awards to individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the field of Arts & Literature, Social Services and Sports. The Tirot Sing Award for Arts & Literature, the Pa Togan N Sangma Award for Social Services and U Kiang Nangbah Award for Sports carries a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- each.

Intending individuals from East Khasi Hills District who desire their names to be recommended to the Government for the Award are required to send their nominations to the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong with the citation latest by 24th October, 2010.
