INVESTITURE CEREMONY FOR PRESENTATION OF GOVERNORS MEDAL HELD AT RAJ BHAVAN

Shillong, 20th January, 2011: The Investiture Ceremony for the presentation of Governor’s Medals on the occasion of Meghalaya Day 2010 was held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong today the 20th January 2011. Shri R. S Mooshahary, Governor of Meghalaya gave away 4 Gallantry Awards, 4 Distinguish Medals and 1 Meritorious Medal.

The name of the awardees for Gallantry Awards includes Inspector Marlon S. H. Nonghuloo, Sub-Inspector Everest D. Sangma, A. B. Constable Belu M Marak and A. B. Constable Alam Jan D. Shira. For Distinguish Medals, Inspector Worken Roy Pathaw, A. B. Sub Inspector John Faiheng Hmar, Hawaldar Dinesh Chandra Boro and Hawaldar Clerk Novelson Lyngdoh and the Meritorious Medal was given to Shri. Vivek Syiem, MPS, Additional, SP Crime, East Khasi Hills.
