SECOND QUARTER RECONCILIATION OF ACCOUNTS

The Deputy Accountant General (A/cs & VLC) has informed that the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong has fixed the programme for the Second Quarter Reconciliation of Accounts for the year 2016-17 in respect of the Government of Meghalaya with the respective Controlling Officers w.e.f. 08.12.2016 to 16.12.2016. All Controlling Officers who administer grants are required to reconcile their Departmental Receipt and Expenditure figures with those booked in the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong. The Controlling Officers are being asked/directed to depute their reconciliation team headed by responsible officers to the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong to carry out the reconciliation. The expenditure figures upto Voucher Level can be accessed from the website: www.agmegh.cag.gov.in. The Controlling Officers may be asked to download the figures and prepare the Reconciliation Statement before coming to the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong and in case the Controlling Officers have difficulty in accessing the data, they are to the contact the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, Shillong immediately.
