EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE SCHEME OFFICIAL WEBSITE LAUNCHED

The official website of Employees’ State Insurance Scheme was launched here today at NIC Conference Hall by Principal Secretary, Information Technology, and Communication etc D P Wahlang. Speaking during the launch, Principal Secretary, D P Wahlang said that the Labour department is a very important department for the welfare of the labourers who are the marginalized sections of the society. He said that still many labourers in the State are not aware of the benefits that can be availed from the Labour Department and thus there is a need to disseminate information. He also made a mention of the need to disseminate information about the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), a multi dimensional social security scheme for the welfare of the labour class and the weaker sections of the society. The ESIS was implemented in Shillong area in 1980 and extended to Byrnihat in 2005. Those covered under ESIS are entitled to two types of benefits Cash Benefit that comprise of Sickness Benefit, Extended Sickness Benefit, Enhanced Sickness Benefit, Maternity Benefit, Dependent Benefit, Disablement Benefit and Funeral Benefit. The second type of benefit is the Medical Benefit. Also present during the launch were State Informatics Officer, T Dkhar, Dr H C Lyndem, Administrative Medical Officer, ESI Scheme, Meghalaya and Dr B Nongsiej, IMO, ESI Dispensary Shillong. INDIAN AIR FORCE RECRUITMENT RALLY

The Indian Air Force is conducting a recruitment rally for unmarried male candidates from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya and Manipur for intake 02/2019 for the post of Airmen in Group Y trades at Air Force Station Borjhar, Guwahati, Assam from 1st to 5th September, 2018. The candidates should have passed intermediate 10+2 equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English and the candidates should be born between 14th July, 1998 and 26th June, 2002 both days inclusive.
