ORDER

The Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya in an order issued on 29th March, 2020 has informed that the following Nodal Officers have been authorized to issue curfew and vehicle passes for their respective departments. Shri E. Kharmalki, Director of Urban Affairs, Urban Affairs Department, Shri Barnari Mawlong, Director of Information and Public Relations, Information and Public Relations Department, Smti A. Nikhla, CMD, MeECL, Power Department, Shri T.G. Momin , Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Health and Family Welfare Department and Shri K. Talukdar, Chief Engineer, PHE, Public Health Engineering Department.

ORDER

The Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department in an order issued on 29th March, 2020 has informed that in the prevailing COVID-19 situation, there is an urgent need to ensure the safety of the citizens of the State through effective quarantine/ isolation of all individuals with travel history. Further, contact tracing will also have to be done in the eventuality of a larger outbreak. Accordingly, it is mandated under the provisions of the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 that all persons who have been recommended for home isolation/ quarantine by the Government of Meghalaya based on registration on the meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid portal or those who have registered on 108 helpline or through other helplines should now download the app Stay Safe Meghalaya using the link https://tsfr.io/jjry5k and agree to share their location till they are under home isolation. An SMS message with the instructions for downloading the app will be sent to the registered mobile numbers of all the individuals mandated to be under home isolation.
