MIDDAY MEAL RICE RELEASED

Shillong, November 29, 2012: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) West Jaintia Hills District has informed that the Midday Meal Rice for L.P Schools and U.P Schools under the Mid- Day Meal Scheme for the month of July, August and September, 2012 has been released through their respective Fair Price Shop Dealers for Jowai Sardar and will be delivered free of cost to the schools by selected fair price shop dealers. Scale of issue is 4.59kgs per students for L.P Schools and 7.98 Kgs per students for U.P. Necessary permit will be delivered up to 14th December 2012.

DSC MAWKYRWAT EXTENDED THE DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Shillong, November 29, 2012: In order to facilitate job aspirants to various vacant posts under the District Selection committee (DSC), Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District, has informed that the last date for submission of application forms has been extended up to 4th December 2012. This was informed by the Secretary of the District Selection committee, Mawkyrwat.

VALEDICTORY PROGRAMME FOR MCS OFFICERS HELD

Shillong, November 29, 2012: Dr. Mukul Sangma pointed out the need of being sincere dedication, honest and hard working to serve the state and the people he said so at the Valedictory function of the Induction Training of the Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) probationers of 2012 batch at Yojana Bhavan Auditorium, Shillong on 29th November 2012 organized by the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI).

He added that the 29 probationer officers were gifted to have the chance to undergo such training so as to enable them to be equip with the knowledge and skills to be efficient officers and added that the issue of governance is the key to delivery and growth of the state. He stressed that there should be no space and room for any tendency to corruption.

Part of the programme was prize distribution, certificate to the best performance in different categories in the course of the training.

The best probationers award bagged by Mr. Mark Anderson Chalam and the highest mark was secured by Mr. Raja Brahma

Others present on the occasion were Mr. W. M. S. Pariat Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, Mr. B. K. Dev Verma Additional Chief Secretary and Mrs. R.V. Suchiang Director General MATI, Mr. D. Vijay Kumar Director MATI who offered the welcome address and Ms. B.L Pakyntein Assistant Director who moved the vote of thanks.
