ENTERPRISE FACILITATION CENTRE

Shillong, October 18, 2012: The Basin Development Unit, East Khasi Hills District under the Meghalaya Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Promotion Programme will open its second “Enterprise Facilitation Centre” on the 25th October 2012 at 11.00 am at Khatarshnong Laitkroh C & RD Block. The centre will be inaugurated by Shri. R. V. Lyngdoh, MLA, Mylliem Constituency & Chairman MTDC.

NOTICE

Shillong, October 18, 2012: Sohra Civil Sub-Divisional Officer, has informed that under provision of Clause 20,21 Part-B of the Meghalaya food grains (PDS) Control Order 2004, the term of functioning of all F. P. Shop dealers and the License of S. K. Oil dealers as per Meghalaya Kerosene (Licensing and Distribution) Control Order 1988 will expire on 31st December 2012.

All F. P shop and S. K. oil dealers within Sohra Civil Sub-Division must submit their applications form for renewal of appointment orders and license for the year 2013 which can be obtained from the office of the undersigned along with the recommendation of the village durbar. The application should be affixed with a court fee stamp of Rs. 25, two pass port size and a renewal fee of Rs. 5 to be deposited in the form of treasury challan under the head of Account “1456 Civil Supplies 800 other receipt(a) Civil Supplies etc License issued for the year 2012.

The application should be submitted along with the names of the vigilance Committee members of their respective localities to be included along with 6 members of BPL beneficiaries, the President/ Secretary Seng Kynthei, President/secretary Seng Bhalang as per format enclosed herewith.

Application duly filled in along with the above particulars should be submitted on or before the 30th November2012. No application will be entertained beyond the date without any valid reason.

SBI OPENS BRANCH

Shillong, October 18, 2012: To cater the need of the people of Samanda and in order to function day to day transactions in Government implemented schemes and projects, the State Bank of India, Samanda, has opened its branch at the premises of Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar on October 17, 2012. Mr. V K Mantri, Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

It may be mentioned that State Bank of India, Samanda Branch was established on September 29, 1985 but due to various difficulties and hurdles the bank could not function smoothly. Mr. V K Mantri Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills, in his brief speech lauded the SBI officials and said that opening a branch at Williamnagar will provide help and benefit the people of Samanda. He also urged the gathering to co-operate with the State Bank of India.

WORKSHOP HELD

Shillong, October 18, 2012: The District e-Governance Society, East Garo Hills, organized a one day workshop on Generating Awareness on National electronic Government Plan (NeGP) & e-Services at Williamnagar Circuit House on October 18, 2012.

It may be mentioned that the purpose of the workshop is to promote optimal and effective development at grassroot level to generate and enhance National electronic Governance Plan and to deliver the services for the society at large.

Resource person from Department of Information Technology, Government of Meghalaya, Mr. D Bora, Senior Consultant (Technology Management) while speaking on National electronic Government Plan said that the vision is to improve delivery of Government services to the citizen and business by making public services accessible to the common man through common service delivery outlets.

Earlier, Mr. B K Hajong, Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills while delivering the welcome address said that under the National electronic Government Plan the citizens would be able to share information and can obtain government services in an effective and time bound manner.

APL, ADDITIONAL APL, BPL, AAY RICE AND LEVY SUGAR RELEASED

Shillong, October 18, 2012: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has informed that APL, additional APL, BPL, AAY rice and Levy Sugar for Family identity card holders of Tura Sardar Sub-division has been released for the month of September 2012 through the respective fair price shop dealers. The quota is 16kgs per APL identity card, 10kgs per additional APL beneficiary, 35ks per BPL beneficiary, 35ks per Anthodaya Anna Yojna beneficiary and 500gms levy sugar.

The retail selling prices of APL, additional APL, BPL rice and sugar are to be fixed by the respective vigilance committees of the fair price shops within permissible limits above wholesale prices plus marginal profits, transportation and handling costs. However, retail selling price of AAY rice is Rs 3 per kg in all fair price shops and no one is allowed to re-fix it.

All beneficiaries have been requested to buy their quota from their respective fair price shops. Any complaints relating to non issuance of entitlement, quality of food grains and overcharging may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Tura.

Shillong, 18th October, 2012: The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai has declared Dry Day on October, 24, 2012 in the entire District on account of Durga Puja festival.

All IMFL licensed premises (wholesale & retail sale), bars, canteen, country spirit shops including outstill shall remain closed on the mentioned date.
