DRAFT YOUTH POLICY 2012

Shillong, March 19, 2012: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong has uploaded the Draft Youth Policy 2012 in the Government Website meghalaya.nic.in for general information of the public to enable them to offer their views and comments before finalization.

Members of the public, youth clubs, NGOs are invited to contribute their opinion to the policy within one month.

NEW BRANCH OF HDFC BANK AT KHLIEHRIAT

Shillong, March 19, 2012: The Union Minister of State, Ministry of Water Resources and Minority Affairs, Mr. Vincent H Pala, inaugurated the New Branch of HDFC Bank at Khliehriat on March 17, 2012 in the presence of Mr. Nehlang Lyngdoh local MLA, Mr. Obil Kyndiat Chairman Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, Mr. Welcome Dkhar local MDC, Fr. Marius, Mr. C. Laloo SDO (Civil) Sub-Division Khliehriat, senior citizens and others.

HDFC Bank, the second largest private bank in the country has been providing a wide range of financial products and services to its 21 million customers across hundreds of Indian cities using multiple distribution channels including a pan- India Network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking. As of December 31, 2011, HDFC Bank has a country network of 2,201 branches and 7,110 ATMs.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vincent H Pala lauded the role and service provided by the Bank right from its Headquarter to Shillong branch and hoped that the service rendered by the bank will continue in Khliehriat and will benefit the people with a request to provide clean service to the people of this region.

Mr. Hemanta Bayan, Deputy Vice President & Cluster Head of North East, HDFC Bank, Ltd, in his welcome address assured that the bank will serve the people of Khliehriat to the fullest and will keep the mutual beneficial relationship with them. He also informed that the branch will offer the customers world-class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as savings accounts, fixed deposits, current account, mutual funds, insurance, two-wheeler loan, auto loan, tractor and commercial vehicle loans to sophisticated direct access banking channels such as ATM, Phone Banking, Net Banking and International Credit and Debit Cards.

Speaking from Mumbai, Mr. Navin Puri, Country Head, Branch Banking, HDFC Bank said that as a leading bank of the country, HDFC is committed to take world-class banking to the hinterland with a comprehensive branch network across the country and a bouquet of products for every customer.
