IT APPLICATIONS

The District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has informed that in the ongoing Meghalaya State Legislative Assembly 2018, the Election Commission of India has augmented the use of IT applications to make the election process smooth, effective and transparent. New and upgraded technical tools are being used in election planning for monitoring the election process. Following are some of the major highlights of IT application and initiatives adopted by ECI: The applications Samadhan, Suvudha and Sugam have been deployed in this ensuing election for facilitation and better election management – Samadhan is a Public Grievance Redressal System which has been conceptualised as a Comprehensive system with multiple modes for receiving complaints (through phone number 03655-230783, email – khliehriat.election@gmail.com, fax No. 03655-230033). Suvudha is a Single Window System for Candidates and Political Parties to apply permissions (Meetings, Rallies, Vehicles, Temporary Election Office, Loudspeakers, Helicopters and Helipads, etc). Sugam is a Vehicle Management Systems with the facility of Issuance of requisition letters for vehicles, capturing of vehicles details with address, mobile number and bank details of owner & Driver, transfer of vehicle from one district to another, etc.
