FARMERS TRAINING CUM COMMUNITY HALL INAUGURATED

Shillong, 17th February, 2011: The Farmers’ Training cum Community Hall at Lumkhudung, constructed by Jaintia Hills Soil and Conservation-T Division under Mynkrem River Valley Project RIDF-XIV (NABARD) was inaugurated on 16th February, 2011 by Mr. R.C Laloo, Minister of Soil & water Conservation, accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary, Soil & water Conservation, Meghalaya, Mr, C.Ymbon and Local MDC Mr, M.B Rymbai beside others

Speaking at the ianaugural session Mr. Laloo stress on the need for commitment to ones work. He further informed that the Government Schemes under the Soil & Water Conservation Department are meant for development and any need for such, should be approach to the office of Soil & Water Conservation.

The inaugural function was chaired by Mr. D. Langstieh, Director Soil & Conservation, Meghalaya, while the welcome address was delivered by Mr. D. Shallam, DS & WCO, Territorial Division, Jowai.
