PRICE OF MOP REVISED

Shillong, December 22, 2010: The Director of Agriculture, Meghalaya, Shillong has informed that the price of MOP for sale to the consumers of the State/Government Departments and farmers has been revised with effect from December 15, 2010. The price of MOP for Government Departments is Rs. 6663/- MT while for farmers the price is Rs. 6359/- MT.

WRITTEN TEST FOR THE POST OF LADY SUPERVISOR

Shillong, December 22, 2010: The Secretary, District Selection Committee, East Khasi Hills District has informed the candidates who have applied for the post of Lady Supervisor that call letters for the conduct of written test examination to be held on January 7, 2011 have been issued and dispatched by the office concerned. RECRUITMENT RALLY

Shillong, December 22, 2010: The Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong has announced that the recruitment rally for male under Unit HQ quota for Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tdn will be held at the Centre from 6th-30th January, 2011. MAGISTERIAL ENQUIRY

Shillong, December 22, 2010: The Deputy Commissioner, Jaintia Hills District has informed that Mr. S S Syiemlieh, Magistrate, Jowai has been appointed to conduct Magisterial Enquiry into the complaint received from the Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) on the non-issuance of food grains under PDS (AAY, APL and BPL Scheme) in the Laskein Block for the month of October, 2010. The Magistrate will enquire into the allegation and submit the report within 15 days from the date of enquiry. The terms of enquiry are the cause and circumstances of non-issue of food grains allotted and the reason that led to complaint/enquiry and also to suggest/recommend measures to avoid such lapses/defects in the supply and distribution of food grains under PDS.
