REPORT ON FLOOD AND LANDSLIDE IN GARO HILLS

Shillong the 30th September, 2014: There are light showers in some places in the State.

Bridge at Krishnai (NH-61) is now open for all types of vehicles. Restoration work is going on in full swing in roads that are still closed.

Power restored in Kharkutta and Dainadubi area upto Mendipathar in North Garo Hills District and Baghmara in South Garo Hills District. Restoration work is still going on in other areas.

No further information of deaths today. However 8 persons are still missing.

No reports of any outbreak of epidemic.
