Press Release No. 168/14 ORDER UNDER SECTION 144 CR PC Shillong, April 28, 2014: The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has promulgated an order under Section 144 Cr PC prohibiting illegal mining activity at Maw-U-Sam village near Smit without obtaining clearance/ license from the competent authorities in order to safeguard the environment. This order shall take immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders. |
