Press Release No. 137/10 SUNCANE SKALE 2010 MUSIC FESTIVAL INVITES NORTH EAST ARTISTES Shillong, April 5, 2010: With an aim encourage Rock Band and New Face or Contemporary artistes from the North East to participate in the music festival-“Suncane Skale 2010 Music Festival’ scheduled to be held from the 7th to 9th July 2010 at Herceg Novi, the Council General of Montenegro-India at New Delhi. The criteria for participation under the Rock Band category are that the band should have their own composition (preference in their own dialect) and the duration will be not more than 3minits 25 seconds. Whereas for the New Face or Contemporary own composition in their own dialect is necessary. Interested candidates from the North East can attend the audition for selection of artistes which will be held on 24th April, 2010 at Shilpgram, Guwahati. The expenses for travel and fooding will be met by interested groups or individuals. Accommodation can be provided at the Shilpgram artiste dormitory at the rate of rupees fifty (Rs. 50/-) only per head. The Suncane Skale 2010 Music Festival is purely a competition and besides prize money to the winners no payment of TA/DA will be provided to the participants. Interested artistes may submit their applications to the Director of Art and Culture on or before the 16th April 2010. |
