GOVERNOR MEETS DISABLED PERSONS

The Governor of Meghalaya, Shri V. Shanmuganathan had an interactive session with the disabled persons at a programme held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on 11th May, 2016. Students from Jyoti Sroat School, Roilang Livelihood Academy, Mary Rice Centre, School and Centre for the Hearing Handicapped Children, ASHA School, Dwar Jingkyrmen and Agency for Sustainable Development Initiatives (KJP Synod Sepngi) participated in the programme. “Each and every one of you is special, you are the inspiration and your confidence gives hope to others” said the Meghalaya Governor, Shri V. Shanmuganathan in his interaction with the children. Additional Chief Secretary, Shri Hector Marwein, Principal Secretary, Shri M. S. Rao, Commissioner and Secretary, Social Welfare, Shri T. Dkhar, Secretary and Director, Social Welfare, Shri H. M. Shangpliang and Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Smti C. Kharkongor were among others present at the programme. Additional Chief Secretary, Shri Hector Marwein and Smti Bertha G. Dkhar, Senior Coordinator, Bethany Society also spoke during the programme.
