NOTICE

This is for general information to all concerned that one male patient named Raju Sangma, 29 years of age, C/o Shelter Home Municipal, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong, was admitted on Male Medical Ward, Bed No. 36 on 24th June, 2020 at 1:03 PM where he expired on 9th July, 2020 at 7:45 PM. All concerned relatives, etc. are hereby requested to collect the dead body from the Morgue of Civil Hospital, Shillong immediately or within a period of 3 (three) days with effect from the date of issue of this General Notice failing which the dead body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board. This was informed by the Joint Director of Health Services (SS) Civil Hospital, Shillong.

SHUTDOWN NOTICE

The Superintending Engineer (PHE), Electrical Circle, Shillong has informed that the planned shutdown of GSWS Water Works on 9th and 10th July, 2020 could not be carried out due to inclement weather conditions. However, the shutdown of the Scheme for preventive and corrective maintenance will be taken from 07:00 Hours of 14th July, 2020 to 22:00 Hours of 15th July, 2020. The Superintending Engineer (PHE), Electrical Circle, Shillong has also informed that supply of water from GSWSS will not be available during the shutdown period and the public are requested to store water for utilization during the shutdown period.

SECTION 144 CRPC

The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting illegal killing of fishes at river Umngot by using poisonous chemicals and explosive substances by any persons. The order is necessitated in view of the information received that some miscreants have rampantly killed fishes along the stretch of the river Umngot which passes through Mawpyrshong and Kut village and other villages under Mawryngkneng C&RD Block by using poisonous chemicals and explosive substances under East Khasi Hills District and unless prevented, such rampant killing of fishes in river Umngot may result in endangering lives of the people living in the surrounding areas. The order shall come into force with immediate effect and remain in force till further orders.
