Press Release No. 489/20

PROHIBITORY ORDER

The Additional Deputy Commissioner I/c Pynursla Civil Sub-Division has under Section 144 CrPC passed a prohibitory order prohibiting any persons, organizations etc. indulging or resorting to the act of illegal hunting, poaching or any acts of wanton destruction of flora and fauna in Pynursla Civil Sub-Division. The order is necessitated in view of the recent wildlife case No. CR(S) 73 of 2020 wherein a Himalayan black bear was allegedly poached by villagers of Mawpyrthuh village and that oral reports on such unrelenting destruction, hunting and poaching of wild flora and fauna especially indigenous to this areas are willfully being carried out by some unscrupulous elements in remote and interior areas under the Sub-Division and that preventive and awareness measures with regard to the various relevant Forest & Environment Acts and Wildlife Protection Acts and against such clandestine acts of wanton destruction of such valuable resources needs to be kept in place to deter such elements in the interest of the local economy and wellbeing of the people.
