Chief Minsiter, Shri Conrad K Sangma, today inaugurated the Shillong Mawlai Bypass and Mawkynroh Police Outpost here today.

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration Chief Minister, Shri Conrad K Sangma while expressing his gratitude to all who donated land for the two projects said he would also acknowledge the contribution of all those who were a part it. “Projects like these have different people, departments and political parties playing their part and it only when all the stakeholders come together such projects can be achieved,” he said. He said that with the opening and implementation of the Bypass traffic congestion in Shillong city should be eased to a considerable extent. He also added that while government and its different departments do their part the society also has a big role in maintaining the assets and infrastructures that have been created. “Whether it is maintaining things, maintaining law and order or curbing anti social activities if society also gives a helping hand it will make a big difference,” he said.
