ADMISSION IN RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE

Shillong, August 20, 2010: An Entrance Examination for Admission to class VIII in Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun for July 2011 term will be conducted at selected centres that will be notified later on 01 and 02 December 2010. Applications for boys only, whose parents hold a Permanent Resident Certificate of Meghalaya will be accepted on or before the 30th September 2010 in the office of the undersigned. The candidates should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school. They should not be less that 11 ½ in age and they should not have attained the age of 13 years as on July 1, 2011. Details on how to apply may be read in the Press Release of RIMC or in the Government Website http://www.Meghalaya.nic.in, or may be obtained from the Office of the Director of Higher and Technical Education, College Branch, Room No 206, Additional Secretariat, Building, Shillong.

OLD AGE PENSION TO BE DISBURSED

Shillong, August 20, 2010: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS) will be disbursed to beneficiaries at the rate of Rs. 250/- per month for the period of two months with effect 1st May, 2010 to 30th June, 2010.

Beneficiaries residing within the Urban Areas are to contact the Nazir, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Shillong, Room No. 211 during office hours. Detailed information can be obtained from the Development Branch, Room No. 314 of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. Beneficiaries from the rural areas are to contact the office of their respective Block Development Officers.
