FINAL PHOTO ELECTORAL ROLL 2010 PUBLISHED

Shillong, August 2, 2010: The District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed that the Final Photo Electoral Roll 2010 for the Assembly Constituencies of 13-Mawryngkneng (ST), 14-Pynthorumkhrah (GEN), 15-Mawlai (ST), 16-East Shillong (ST), 17-North Shillong (ST), 18-West Shillong (GEN), 19-South Shillong (GEN), 20-Mylliem (ST), 21-Nongthymmai (ST), 22-Nongkrem (ST), 23-Sohiong (ST), 24-Mawphlang (ST), 25-Mawsynram (ST), 27-Pynursla (ST) and 29-Mawkynrew (ST) has been published in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and a copy is available for inspection at his office, at the office of all the Block Development Officers and Electoral Registration Officers concerned during office hours.

NOMINATION FOR GROUND WATER AUGMENTATION AWARD

Shillong, August 05, 2010: The office of the Chief Engineer (Water Resources) Department, Government of Meghalaya invites application from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Gram Panchayat, Urban Local Bodies, Institutes, Implementing Farmer’s Participatory Action Research Programme, Corporate Sector and Individuals/Institutions for nominations for Ground Water Augmentation Award (Bhoomijal Samvardhan Puraskar Award, National Water Award, Ground Water Augmentation Award) for innovative practices through Rain Water Harvesting and artificial recharge.

Guidelines and applications form are available on the website of the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India at http://mowr.gov.in in ‘Guidelines’ – for “National Water Award and other Awards”. Applications alongwith necessary enclosures should be submitted to the office of the respective Deputy Commissioners of the District within 25th August, 2010 who would recommend and sent to the office of the Chief Engineer (Water Resources), Meghalaya, Shillong for screening and selection by the State Level Steering committee (SLSC).
