CAUTION AGAINST FAKE ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT

The general public is hereby informed of the new ways criminals are now using to cheat people. One of the methods used is giving fake online job advertisements and placements offer to lure innocent job seekers. The public are requested to be aware of such fake online advertisements and verify the authenticity of the advertisements through questioning etc before sharing your personal information or parting with money. In this connection, public may report the matter to Cyber Assistance Cell for any assistance at Telephone Helpline Number 91-364-2504001, Mobile Helpline Number 91-9615191002, Email ID ccw-meg@gov.in The Cell functions from 10:00AM to 6:00PM on all working days. ENTRANCE EXAM FOR ADMISSION TO CLASS VIII IN RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE

Director, Higher and Technical Education, Meghalaya, Shillong has informed that an entrance exam for Class VIII in the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun for July 2017 will be conducted at selected centres that will be notified later on 1st and 2nd December 2016 for boys only. Application forms will be accepted on or before the 30th September 2016 at the Office of Director, Higher & Technical Education, Shillong, Meghalaya. Candidates should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school, should not be less than 11 and a half years in age , should not have attained the age of 13 years on 01st July 2016 and should not be born earlier than 02 July 2004 and not later than 01 July 2006. ROUND TABLE INDIA EXTENDS HELP TO FLOOD HIT VICTIMS

Round Table India, Shillong, in collaboration with the District Administration, West Garo Hills came forward to provide assistance to the flood affected victims of the plain belt areas of the district today at Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tura. Mr. Amit Singhania, Chairman of the Round Table India, Shillong has informed that they have contacted Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Pravin Bakshi and it was under his guidance that they were able to convert their vision into reality. Meanwhile, he also expressed his gratitude to the National Board Round Table India for providing them the much needed monetary support for this noble cause. Further, he also extended his gratitude to the Marwari Mahila Samiti Shillong, Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Samiti Shillong including friends and family members for their support and their contribution for the noble cause. The relief material comprises of 2000 kgs of chirwa, 40000 packets of ready to eat food materials, 500 cases of mineral water, 2000 pieces of towel, 2000 pieces of vests, 500 sarees, milk for children- 300, 20 boxes of essential medicines and 100 cartons of clothing materials. Two trucks loaded with relief materials have been handed over to the Block Development Officer, Selsella Community and Rural Development Block, Mr. P R Sangma to be distributed to the flood affected victims of the district. It may be mentioned that Round Table India (RTI) is a non-profit organization of young men and the motto is to provide educational infrastructure for the under privileged children and since 1977 Round Table India under Freedom Through Education (FTE) has built 5377 classrooms in 2172 schools with an outlay of Rs.180 crore impacting the lives of 60 lakh children.
