LIST OF AMENDMENTS TO THE DRAFT ELECTORAL ROLL AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION

Shillong, January 10, 2013: The list of amendments to the draft Electoral Rolls for the Assembly Constituencies of 44-Raksamgre (ST), 45-Tikrikilla (ST) and 49-Dadenggre (ST) have been prepared with reference to 01-01-2013 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.

A copy of the Electoral Rolls together with the said list of amendments have been published and will be available for inspection in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division, West Garo Hills District during office hours.

CREATION OF POLICE OUTPOST AT SOHIONG SANCTIONED

Shillong, January 10, 2013: With a view to bringing the police administration closer to the people and for better maintenance of law and order, the Government of Meghalaya has approved and sanctioned the creation of a Police Outpost at Sohiong, East Khasi Hills District with area of jurisdiction to be carved out from the existing area of Mawngap Police Outpost. This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Home (Police) Department.
