WRITING PASTING OF POSTERS PROHIBITED

Shillong, January 14, 2013: Upon announcement of the poll date for holding of General Election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, 2013 by the Election Commission of India and upon the directives of the Commission, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has promulgated an Order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/displaying of cut-outs, hoarding, banners etc, in connection with the ensuing Election in the whole District.

This order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders.
