MEGHALAYA DAY AWARDEES ANNOUNCED

Shillong, January 20, 2010: The Government of Meghalaya has announced the recipients of the Meghalaya Day Awards for the year 2010 for their achievements in fields of social service, arts and literature and sports. The awards will be conferred at the ceremonial function on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26, 2010 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo Grounds, Shillong. This was informed by the Officer on Special Duty to the Government of Meghalaya, Political Department.

Mrs. Bluebell W. Marbaniang will receive The Pa Togan N Sangma Award for Social Service, Shri Bikramjit A Sangma the U Tirot Sing Award for Arts and Literature and Ailad Kharngap Kynta the U Kiang Nangbah Award for Sports.
