PLYING OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON NH-40 LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED

Shillong, January 31, 2011: The Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Public Works Department (R & B) has informed that in view of the ongoing construction activities of the Four Lane Road from Jorabad to Barapani (Umiam) on Gauhati-Shillong Road National Highway 40 which has started, plying of vehicular traffic on this National Highway is most likely to be affected.

Therefore, public travelling on the said road to catch flight or other mode of transport are advised to take necessary steps to avoid any difficulty for reaching their destinations on time.
