Press Release No. 004/05 REVISION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS The Chief Electoral Officer has informed that the programme for the ongoing Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls has been rescheduled. Preparation of Manuscripts, comparison of manuscript with relevant parts of the previous Electoral Roll of 2004, data entry of new electors and carrying out of corrections and printing of draft roll will take place from November 11, 2004 to January 13, 2005. Draft publication of Electoral Rolls will take place on January 14, 2005 and the period for filing of claims and objection and reading of relevant parts/sections of Electoral Rolls in Gram Sabha/Urban Local bodies and Residents Welfare Association meeting will be between January 15, 2005 and February 12, 2005. Disposal of claims and objection will be on March 14, 2005 while the preparations and printing of supplements of additions, deletions and corrections will be on April 8, 2005. The Final Publication of Electoral Rolls will be on April 15, 2005. |
