Press Release No. 10/06 WORKSHOP-CUM-TRAINING PROGRAMME ON EXPORT In an attempt to hold meaningful and constructive programmes for the betterment of the State which is considered to have potential for developing trade with SAARC and South East Asian countries, the CAPEXIL (formerly Chemicals & Allied Products Export Promotion Council) North East Chapter, will organize a 3-day Workshop-cum-Training Programme on Export from January 9-11, 2006 at Hotel Pinewood, Shillong. The programme will be inaugurated by Chairman, Meghalaya Economic Development Council, Mr. R.G. Lyngdoh and will be attended by Mr. P.P. Srivastav, member NEC and senior officials from the Centre and State governments. Sponsored by the North Eastern Council, Shillong, the aim and objective of the programme is to create awareness among government officials dealing with Trade & Commerce, students, existing exporters and entrepreneurs on the export marketing procedures, documentation and the benefits and incentives available from the State and Central governments The workshop will focus on Fundamentals of Marketing, Identification of Foreign markets, Export procedures and Documentation, Exim Policy, Licensing, Export Finance, RBI Regulations on Export, role of Export Promotion Councils, WTO, ECGC/Customs, etc Interested individuals can get themselves registered by 9:00 A.M on January 9, 2006 at Hotel Pinewood.
