Press Release No. 2/11 JOWAI MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON 15.02.2011 Shillong, January 4, 2011: The District Magistrate, Jaintia Hills District has informed that the Election for Ward Commissioner to the Jowai Municipal board will be held on February 15, 2011. He also informed that the Electoral Roll as per Form I of the Municipal Act 1973 in all the Wards will be prepared in accordance to 1.1.2011 as the qualifying date for the voters. Preliminary Electoral Roll will be published on 6.1.2011. The last date for receiving of claims/objections will be on 13.1.2011. Scrutinization will be held on 20.1.2011. Publication of the final Electoral Roll will be on 24.1.2011. Preliminary Electoral Roll as well as Form II, Form III for Claims and Objections may be obtained from the office of the District Magistrate and office of the Jowai Municipal Board. |
