CONTAINMENT ORDERS

Due to the detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of the health of the general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in orders issued on 1st October, 2020 has declared the House of Sngewbhalang Synjri at Mission Compound, Ground Floor of the House of Smt. Sharmila Mawlong at Lawsohtun, Block-2, Ground Floor of the House of Smt. W. Khonglah (tenant) at Riat Laban East, Madan Laban and the House of Wamelang Pyrbot, House of Kiston Nongpluh and House of Aiborname Suting at Qualapatty as Micro-Containment Areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the sites. The orders state that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes. Respective Incident Commanders of the above mentioned areas shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the orders. Any violation of the orders will entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.

CONTAINMENT ORDERS LIFTED

Based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts and the reports received thereof, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in orders issued on 1st October, 2020 has lifted the containment orders for the House of Wilson Kharkrang at Wahkdait, Malki, House of Smt. C. Nongpiur, Clary’s Cottage at Dong Shiliang, Lower Lumparing, Apartment of Kamlesh Roy (tenant of Smt. Julie Nongbet) at Bishnupur Inverniel, House Nos. 22,23 & 24 within the Compound of Dr. L.L Sawian of Block-IV, Nongrimbah and the Residence and Compound of Abdul Sattar at Nongmalki Road, Nongshiliang, Malki with immediate effect.
