Press Release No. 528/16 ELECTORAL DRAFT ROLL PUBLISHED FOR NONGKREM, LABAN AND NONGSPUNG-SOHIONG The Returning Officer & Deputy Commissioner, District Council Election, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed that the Electoral Roll in Draft of 8-Nongkrem, 15-Laban and 22-Nongspung-Sohiong District Council Constituencies have been prepared in accordance with Rule 129 (3) of the Assam Meghalaya Autonomous District (Constitution of District Councils) Rule 1951 (Parts I, II & III), as amended by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council. A copy thereof is available for inspection at the office of the Returning Officer & Deputy Commissioner, District Council Election, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong at the office of the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Smit, the office of the Officer In-Charge, Rilbong Police Beat House and the office of the Block Development Officer, Mawphlang C & RD Block respectively on all working days during office hours. The qualifying date for preparation of Electoral Roll is 18 years and above as on 01-01-2016. Any person having claim for the inclusion of a name or any objections to the inclusion of name or any objection to particular entry or any objection against him/her name being struck off should be lodged with the office of the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, Room No 204 and in the above mentioned offices during office hours on any working day with effect from 10th October 2016-25th October 2016 in the prescribed format available in the above offices. Claims and Objections filed by such person if any will be summarily disposed off on or before 15th November 2016 at the identified locations. The Final Electoral Roll of these District Council Constituencies will be published at the aforesaid places on 18th November 2016. |
Press Release No. 529/16 RAJ BHAWAN AND MAWLYNNONG AWARDED Raj Bhawan Shillong and Mawlynnong village have been awarded by The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for having successfully achieved the Green Building Standards required for the level of certification under IGBC for Green Existing Buildings O & M Rating System and also for Green Village Rating System. The awards were received by K M Momin, Joint Director, Tourism, Govt of Meghalaya at the 14th Edition Green Building Congress 2016 held on 8th October 2016 at The Grand Hyatt,Mumbai. |
