DRAFT ELECTORAL ROLLS FOR EAST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT

Shillong, October 17, 2011: The District Election Officer (DEO), East Khasi Hills District, has informed that the draft electoral rolls for the Assembly Constituency of 13-Mawryngkneng (ST), 14-Pynthorumkhrah (GEN), 15-Mawlai (ST), 16-East Shillong (ST), 17-North Shillong (ST), 18-West Shillong (GEN), 19-South Shillong (GEN), 20-Mylliem (ST), 21-Nongthymmai (ST), 22-Nongkrem (ST), 23-Sohiong (ST), 24-Mawphlang (ST), 25-Mawsynram (ST), 27-Pynursla (ST), 29-Mawkynrew (ST) have been prepared with reference to 1st January, 2012 as qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. The Rolls are available for inspection at the office of the District Election Officer, DC’s Office, East Khasi Hills, Shillong and in all the offices of the Block Development Officers during office hours and at the concerned Poling Stations on 22nd October, 2011.

If with reference to the above said qualifying date, there by any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection at the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the 1st November, 2011 in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 or 8A as may be appropriate at the office of the DEO, DC’s Office, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong and in all the offices of the Block Development Officers during office hours and at the concerned Polling Stations with the concerned Booth Level Officers.
