GOVERNOR VISITS WEST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT

“The Dunes of West Khasi Hills are so beautiful and resembles the ones in Switzerland” said the Governor of Meghalaya Shri Tathagata Roy who really felt in- love with the beauty scenario and landscape of West Khasi Hills in particular and Meghalaya in general. The Governor expressed his feelings while meeting the District Administration at the Conference Hall D C office today which was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner, Shri T. Lyngwa. The Governor shared with the gathering on his close association with the State especially Shillong where he often visited during his childhood days. He said that the objective of the visit is to get acquainted with the rich cultural tradition of the state. Seeing the tourism potential of the District, the Governor stressed upon the need to promote and develop rural tourism which can create employment opportunities.

JNV INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION IN CLASS IX

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Niangbari, Ri-Bhoi invites online application for admission in class IX against vacant seats for the session 2019-20. Application may be submitted by accessing NVS website www.navodaya.gov.in. Candidates studying in class VIII in academic session 2018-19 in Government/ Government recognized schools may apply. A candidate seeking admission must be born between 01.05.2003 and 30.04.2007. For detailed notification including test pattern, website www.navodaya.gov.in may be visited. Last date to apply is 30-11-2018.
