Press Release No. 460/10 NOTICE Shillong, October 6, 2010: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed all concerned that permission for shows, entertainment, extension of bar timings and such other shows involving possible infringement of copyright within the meaning and context of the Copy Right Act 1957 (as amended) shall be granted only when applications are accompanied with the requisite license/permission from Phonographic Performance Ltd,. B.D/96 Salt Lake City Sector-1, Kolkata-700064. Therefore, entrepreneurs, discotheques, cafes, hotels, restaurants, music shack, cinemas, shops and all concerned parties are advised to procure/obtain the license/permission from the Copy Right Society, mentioned above, failing which permission for concert, shows and entertainment shall not be considered henceforth. |
