MEGHALAYA REPRESENTED IN NORTH EAST FESTIVAL IN VIETNAM

As part of the ongoing International North East Festival being organised by the Consul General Ho Chi Minh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, under Ministry of External Affairs, Meghalaya is connecting to South Asia in general & Vietnam in particular through the 3 Ts of Textiles, Trade & Tourism & the 3 Cs of Craft, Cuisine & Culture Depts of Textiles, Arts & Culture & Tourism are representing Meghalaya in the first ever ongoing NE festival in Vietnam.

The respective delegations are actively participating in the various B2B meets, exhibitions, cultural evenings through their official level delegations, textiles entrepreneurs, cultural troupes, music bands who are showcasing Meghalayas soft power and investment potential. Textiles sector is a focus area.

Union Minister of State External Affairs, RK Ranjan Singh inaugurated the NE festival along with Chairman & Head Ho Chi Minh Province, Govt of Vietnam, Ambassador of India in Vietnam, Consul General & other NE state delegations.

Chairman of nearly 25 State provinces of Vietnam, leading Vietnamese entrepreneurs, tour operators expressed keen interest in the State’s eco-friendly textiles, tourism sectors & in further cultural exchanges with Meghalaya.
