MEGA HEALTH CAMP HELD AT MAJAI

As part of the pan India awareness campaign and outreach programme, the District Legal Services Authority, East Khasi Hills District in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority organized a Mega Camp cum Health Camp at Majai, under Sohra Civil Sub-Division on 11th November, 2021.

The health camp was inaugurated by Shri Noor Ain Khan, District and Session Judge, East Khasi Hills District in the presence of Shri. T.T.M. Sangma, Officer on Special duty, MSLSA, Smti J. Umdor, BDO, Shella- Bholaganj C and RD Block, Dr. (Mrs) A. Lyngdoh, Addl. DMHO, East Khasi Hills District among others.

In his inaugural address, Shri Khan said that the health camp was organized in this remote area of the District to help people to have access to health care services. He also urged the people of the Majai area to come forward and take advantage of the various facilities available in the camp.

Besides, medical camp, the offices of the District Medical and Health Officer and District Social Welfare, East Khasi Hills District set up stalls highlighting their activities to create awareness and to enable the people of the area to avail their services.
