MEPA DELEGATION MEETS I& PR MINISTER

A delegation of the Meghalaya Editors and Publishers Association (MEPA) met the Meghalaya Minister of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Sayeedullah Nongrum in his office chamber at the Yojana Building on November 15, 2005.

During the course of the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on matters relating to advertisement bills, enhancement of advertisement rates, rotationalisation of supplements, classified and display advertisements.

On the part of the I&PR Minster, he assured the delegation that he would look into the matters and would direct concerned departments to take necessary and timely action. He also urged upon the delegation to cooperate with the Government for the positive projection of the image of the State and also stressed that cordial relationship between the Government and the Press is of utmost importance fir the overall development of the State.
