CONVOCATION TO BE HELD

The Registrar, Central Agricultural University(CAU), Imphal has informed that the first convocation of the University is scheduled to be held in February, 2007, the exact date which would be announced later. All students of the C.A.U. who has completed B.Sc(Agri) and M.Sc.(Agri) from College of Agriculture, Imphal from 1992-93 onwards, B.Sc(Hort) from College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat from 2004 onwards. B.F.Sc from College of Fisheries, Lembucherra from 2002 onwards and B.V.Sc & A.H. from College of Veterinary & A.H. Selesih from 2002 onwards who desire to receive the Degree Certificate should apply on plain paper giving full details.

The applicant should attach a Demand Draft or Postal Order for Rs. 200/- payable in the name of the Comptroller, C.A.U., Imphal. Applications should reach the Registrar on or before 15th December, 2006.

ORDERS UNDER 144 CRPC PROMULGATED

The Additional District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has promulgated an order under Section 144 Cr.PC prohibiting road blockade causing obstruction to movement of vehicles and smooth flow of traffic, and office picketing causing obstruction to government servants from attending their duties and also to the general public who have to get their works done at various government offices, agencies, banks etc and carrying of arms and other lethal weapons in the whole of East Khasi Hills District.

This order shall come into immediate effect until further orders.
