INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF CHEMISTRY

Shillong, November 3, 2011: The Inter College Students’ Chemistry Seminar and the concluding function of the International Year of Chemistry & 70 years of the Department of Chemistry will be held on November 4, 2011 at the Conference Hall of St. Anthony’s College, Shillong from 11:00 AM.

The seminar and the concluding function will be graced by the Head of Department of Chemistry, North Eastern Hill University, Prof. B Myrboh as the Chief Guest.

It is gratifying to recall that in keeping with the College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) status that St. Anthony’s College enjoys, University Grants Commission has identified the Department of Chemistry of the College to observe the “International Year of Chemistry 2011” in a befitting manner.

WHOLE MEAL ATTA DISTRIBUTED

Shillong, November 3, 2011: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that Whole-meal Atta for the month of February, March, June, July, August and September 2011 is being distributed through the Fair Price Shops at the scale of 2235 grams per head at the rate of Rs. 7.80 per kg.

Any non supply or overcharging of the rate by the suppliers may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong will all the details.
