AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON POULTRY FARMING

The Office of the District Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Officer, Shillong, organized an Awareness Programme for Farmers on ‘Poultry Farming’ on the 28th November, 2017 at Conference Hall, Mawryngkneng C & R.D Block. Shri David Nongrum, MLA and Chairman MTDC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Nongrum while praising the initiative taken up by AH&Vety Department for economic upliftment of the local farmers, said that poultry farming with a special emphasis on Kuroiler will help the community in raising their standard of living. During the programme, the Chief Guest also distributed 200 nos of Kuroiler birds each to 75 beneficiaries. Shri L Kynjing, BDO, Mawryngkneng C&RD Block, Dr. (Mrs) A Pakyntein, District AH&Vety Officer and Dr Albert S Thangkhiew, AH&Vety Officer, Mawryngkneng C&RD Block was also present during the function.
