RYMBUI LAYS FOUNDATION FOR UPGRADATION OF JARAIN PHC TO SUB DIVISIONAL HOSPITAL

Home Minister Shri. Lahkmen Rymbui today laid the foundation for up gradation of Jarain Public Health Centre to 50 bedded Sub Divisional Hospital at Jarain PHC in the presence of Shri. Ram Kumar, IAS, Mission Director National Health Mission, Meghalaya and Dr. KC Ajar, District Medical and Health Officer, West Jaintia Hills District.

Speaking on the occasion, Lahkmen Rymbui expressed his gratitude to the Government for fulfilling the dreams of the people of the area, mentioning that the government has taken the decision to upgrade the 5 bedded Jarain PHC to 50 bedded SubDivisional Hospital which will provide better Health care service not only to people of Amlarem SubDivision but to all in need of health care. Dreams become reality with hardwork, he dedicated the up gradation of the PHC to the people of the Amlarem Subdivision. Emphasising on the importance of health, he encouraged the people to prioritize their own health and to cooperate with the health care provider. He also thanked the doctors for their dedication, selfless service and care, urging them to continue their service diligently and sincerely.

GOVERNOR ADDRESSES GOVERNMENT OFFICERS IN INDIAN INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, NEW DELHI

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) addressed the 48th Advance Professional Programme in Public Administration at Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi on 20th December 2022. The trainee officers of the programme were senior government officers, including Defence forces officers of the rank of Brigadiers and Commodores.

The Governor emphasised on strengthening the Civil Military relations based on confidence building, mutual trust, mutual knowledge of civil military affairs and a transparent interface between the civil and military leadership. He said that it is essential to have mutual respect for each other’s domain in decision making and plans implementation for good Civil Military relations and these concepts and actions should be closely integrated.

Sharing his observation as a former infantry officer of Indian Army and as head of the State, the Governor called for optimization of Civil Military Relations as an integral part of the National Defence Policy. He said that the Civil Military Relations must aim at making the Indian Armed Forces Atma Nirbhar and making our country Shreshtha Bharat.The Governor said that India is a democratic nation and Civil power is supreme. He called upon the armed forces officers to be fearless and forthright and they must build up their professional competence to the extent that the political leaders get convinced that whatever is being suggested by the military leaders is in the best interest of the country.

The Governor, who has laid a strong foundation of trust and cooperation between civil administration and military establishments in the State, said that he is proud to say that in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, the present Civil Military relations are its best. It has facilitated the bonhomie with the Army amongst the civil population, he underscored.
