Press Release No. 654/11 AGE LIMIT OF PENSION SCHEME REDUCED Shillong, December 5, 2011: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India has reduced the age limit under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS) to above 60 -79 years of age at @ of Rs. 250/- per month and above 80 years @ of Rs. 500 per month, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS) to above 40-59 years of age at Rs. 200/- per month and Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) to above 18-59 years of age @ of Rs. 200/- per month. The above entitlement will apply only to persons/widows who belong to the BPL category. This revised norm has come into effect from 01.04.2011. |
