PIO OF ERTS DEPARTMENT APPOINTED

Shillong, December 15, 2010: The Government of Meghalaya has appointed Mr. B Khongsit, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes, Meghalaya, Shillong as the Public Information Officer of the Excise, Registration, Taxation and Stamps (ERTS) Department with the Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Meghalaya, Shillong as the Public Authority. This was informed by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, ERTS Department.

NCDC COOPERATIVE EXCELLENCE AWARD 2010

Shillong, December 15, 2010: The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has selected the Mendipathar Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd., East Garo Hills District as the best society from the State of Meghalaya to receive the NCDC Cooperative Excellence Award 2010. The award comprising of cash amount of Rs. 50,000/-, a memento and a certificate of recognition shall be presented at a special function to be organized in the month of January, 2011.
