Press Release No. 568/10 INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF BIO-DIVERSITY Shillong, December 3, 2010: The Shillong Science Centre Bio-Resources Development Centre and State Council of Science, Technology & Environment, Meghalaya will celebrate International Year of Bio-Diversity from 7th to 21st December, 2010 at the Shillong Science Centre, NEHU Permanent Campus, Mawlai, Shillong. The Exhibition on Bio-Diversity, Bio-Diversity Films and Bio-Diversity Games will be held daily from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On 11th-17th December, 2010, events will include popular lecture on Bio-Diversity at 11:00 AM, Slide show on Bio-Diversity at 02:00 PM and Spot Bio-Diversity Quiz from 12:00 Noon to 02:00 PM. Other attractions include fun science gallery, water gallery, science park, astronomy corner, butterfly enclave and appropriate technology corner.
