DEPUTY CM LAYS FOUNDATION STONE FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Deputy Chief Minister incharge PWD Roads Shri. Prestone Tyngsong laid the foundation stone today the 8th December, 2022 at Madan Mihmyntdu in presence of Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, Local MLA 2 Jowai Constituency Wailadmiki Shylla for the construction and improvement of roads amounting to Rs. 84, 14,37,000.

This sanctioned amount will cover improvement metalling and blacktopping of Internal Village Road at Niriang at Rs.1, 20, 87, 000. Protection of Road Formation of Madan Thadlaskein Via Mission Aitnar to Mutong Road by Construction of R WALL, B WALL, V Shape drain etc at Rs. 2, 13, 50,000. Metalling and Black topping of Internal Village Roads at Sabah Muswang of Length 2.779 KM costing at Rs. 2 Crore only. Rehabilitation IC Metalling and Black Topping of Internal Roads at Mihmyntdu Village total length 6.677 KM under RIDF XXVII at Rs. 5 Crore only. Rehabilitation and Improvement of Roads within Jowai Town under the World Bank MITP total length 33 KM at Rs. 28 Crore only. Construction of Bridge from KNB Road to Thomas Jones College length 10 M at Rs. 80 Lakhs only. Widening, Improvement and Strengthening of Demthring Sohmynting Moodymmai Road length 22.30 KM at Rs. 45 Crore.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy CM Shri Prestone Tyngsong acknowledged the efforts of the state Government towards bringing about the development and welfare of the general public in every part of the state, in particular the initiative taken towards the improvement and construction of roads. He also applauded the Local MLA for his dedication towards upliftment of the Jowai constituency.

Local MLA Shri. Wailamiki Shylla thanked the Government for the initiative taken for the improvement and construction of roads especially the construction of the bridge connecting KNB road toThomas Jones College, the widening and improvement of Demthring Sohmynting Moodymmai road which will surely ease the heavy traffic jam in Jowai town to a great extent and overall it will serve to facilitate a faster transportation between Jowai town and it's adjoining villages.
