TRIBUNAL HEARING

Shillong 10th February 2011: With regard to declaring Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) of Meghalaya as ‘Unlawful Association’ under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the Tribunal will hold its hearing for examination of witnesses on 25th and 26th February, 2011 at 10:30 AM in Pinewood Hotel Shillong.

SECOND PHASE OF CENSUS OPERATION

Shillong 10th February 2011: The Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District has informed that the Census Operation 2011, population Enumeration has commenced from the 9th February, 2011 to 28th February, 2011 and the Revision round from the 1st March, 2011 to 5th March, 2011. Therefore, the public are requested to cooperate with the Census Enumerators by providing the required information as and when requested by them.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has also informed that grievances and complaints arising out of population Enumeration phase of the Census Operation 2011 may be sent to the Principal Census Officer Grievance Cell, District Census Office, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh.
