Press Release No. 32/22 CHIEF MINISTER ATTENDS FOCUS MEET AT BAGHMARA SPORTS PLAYGROUND ON 10.02.2022 Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K Sangma visited South Garo Hills District today and held a FOCUS (Farmers Collectivization for up scaling Production and Marketing System)Meet at Baghmara Sports Playground today. While highlighting the various developmental activities initiated by the Government Shri Conrad K Sangma stated that depending on the capacity of the farmers group the amount of Rs 5000 per member is being handed over to the farmers group for bearing various expenditures being utilized during the process of farming activities and marketing strategy. A total of 4 lakh fifty thousand families are benefited by this scheme. During the program a total of 1 crore and 10 lakh cheque amount is being distributed to the 166 farmers group. Others who were present and spoke on the occasion includes Shri Rakkam A Sangma MLA Rongara Siju Constituency and others. Other programmes include Interaction with the farmers, meeting with the Social Assistance Beneficiaries, Interaction with the Pregnant mothers under RESCUE Mission, Inspection of Baghmara Greater water Supply scheme and inspection of Karukol Tolegre road under PMGSY. The Chief Minister also paid a visit to Capt Williamson Memorial Government College Baghmara and inspected the ongoing construction works of the college building. |
