Press Release No. 113/13 RELOCATION OF POLLING STATIONS Shillong, February 18, 2013: The District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills District has informed that the relocation of Polling Stations of 15-Mawlai (ST), 22-Nongkrem (ST) and 23-Sohiong (ST) has been prepared in accordance with the approval of the Election Commission of India. With regard to 15-Mawlai (ST) AC, the existing polling stations at Christian LP School, Mawlai Umthlong (East and West Wing) for 39-Mawlai Umthlong ‘A’ and 40-Mawlai Umthlong ‘B’ are being relocated to Seven Huts Secondary School, Mawlai Umthlong. In 22-Nongkrem (ST) AC, the existing polling stations at RCLP School, Pomlakrai Liewlong (East and West Wing) for 32-Pomlakrai ‘C’ and 33-Pomlakrai ‘D’ are being relocated to Community Hall, Liewlong and for 37-Mawiong, the polling station at Presbyterian LP School, Mawiong is being relocated to Community Hall, Mawiong. In 23-Sohiong (ST) AC, the polling station at RCLP School, Nonglyngkien for 37-Nonglyngkien is being relocated to Nonglyngkien Anganwandi Centre, Nonglyngkien. |

Press Release No. 114/13 WHOLEMEAL ATTA DISTRIBUTED Shillong, February 18, 2013: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that whole-meal atta for the month of December, 2013 is being distributed through the Fair Price Shops at the scale of 1128 grams per head at the rate of Rs. 7.80/- per kg. Further, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills has informed all BPL beneficiaries that whole-meal atta (Additional Adhoc Allotment) for the year 2012-2013 is being distributed at the scale of 20.696 kgs at the rate of Rs. 5.85/- per kg. Any non supply or overcharging of the rate by the suppliers may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. |

Press Release No. 115/13 DRY DAY DECLARED Shillong, February 18, 2013: The Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin hereby declared Dry Day on the whole of West Khasi Hills District, from 21st 22nd 23rd and 28th February, 2013 respectively on account of the upcoming Assembly Election 2013. All liquor shops, out still bars canteen and hoarse premises shall remain closed on the above noted days in the entire district. |
